Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef ribs
- 1 whole garlic
- 1L grape juice
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Italian herbs
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 cups beef stock
- salt and pepper
Method:
- Place all ingredients into a slow cooker or pressure cooker for 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
- If preferred to cook in the oven, place ingredients in a tray covered with foil for 4 hours at 180 degrees.
- Then once soft coat with bbq sauce and place in oven at 200 c until it starts to colour.
Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe
At Chefitup we decided to try our own bbq sauce. With a lot of inspiration and creativity, we created the tangiest bbq sauce made from home in a short amount of time! This can be shortlisted in Recipes for Ramadan.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp molasses
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 cup Passata
- 1/3 cup beef stock
- 1/3 bbq Smokey sauce (optional)
- salt
Method:
- Combine all ingredients together in a pot and stir.
- Bring to a boil, and allow it to reduce.
- Once it is thick and has a sticky texture remove from heat.
