Maryam Mounajed’s #3 BBQ Beef Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg beef ribs
  • 1 whole garlic
  • 1L grape juice
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Italian herbs
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • salt and pepper

Method:

  1. Place all ingredients into a slow cooker or pressure cooker for 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
  2. If preferred to cook in the oven, place ingredients in a tray covered with foil for 4 hours at 180 degrees.
  3. Then once soft coat with bbq sauce and place in oven at 200 c until it starts to colour.

Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe

At chef.it_up we decided to try our own bbq sauce. With a lot of inspiration and creativity we created in a short amount of time the most tangiest bbq sauce made from home!

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire saucd
  • 3 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp molasses
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 cup Passata
  • 1/3 cup beef stock
  • 1/3 bbq Smokey sauce (optional)
  • salt

Method:

  1. Combine all ingredients together in a pot and stir.
  2. Bring to a boil, and allow it to reduce.
  3. Once it is thick and has a sticky texture remove from heat.
