The Lexus RC 350, a heart-racing experience, designed to capture your senses. 

The RC 350 was a breathtaking experience, with each movement of the car designed to be sharper, more refined than any car before it. As soon as you sat down you knew you were inside something powerful and I couldn’t wait to get on the road. 

The design of the car will be the first thing you notice. Sleek elegance hiding a powerful interior. With the Lexus character in full swing, the car had a personality you couldn’t miss. The racing coupe had a lavish finish of patent white, coupled with dynamic proportions of futuristic design. Sexy and graceful elegance was the true mask of this car. 

Hopping into the interior, the downfall of the car became clear, not because of it’s sports car design, which made you feel like a million dollars, but for the size of the interior which was a lack thereof. For a man like myself, I felt as if the room in the car was uncomfortable, with the seats in the back being practically no use at all. I would recommend this car to a couple, but not for a family.

Apart from that factor, the interior of the car was packed with luxurious features. The intuitive technology of the car such as the high-resolution 10.3-inch EMV (Electro Multi-Vision) display screen, and the 4.2-inch colour TFT (Thin Film Transistor) multi-information display in the meter cluster, was intuitively controlled using switches on the steering wheel. With a surround sound stereo, you can jam out to your favourite hits in style and luxury. 

Diving deeper into the handling and features of driving a luxury sports car like the Lexus 350, you get premium features such as four-wheel steering, dual zone climate control, a reversing camera, active cruise control and so much more. You’ll truly feel classy driving this baby.

The RC350 packs Lexus’ 3.5-litre, naturally aspirated V6 engine. The engine boasts advanced features abound, including a twin-scroll turbo that minimises the lag traditionally associated with turbocharged vehicles. Basically, you can feel how responsive the RC350 is with the first press of the accelerator. And for my car hoons, the RC350 is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with sequential and paddle shift, providing manual-like shifting when desired.

The soundtrack of the car is nothing less than thrilling. The 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine with Direct Injection and Dual VVT-i which delivers an impressive 232kW of power at 6,600rpm and 380Nm of torque at 4,800rpm can be clearly heard through the Sound Amplifying Resonator releases an excitingly sporty engine sound during enthusiastic acceleration. 

The exciting package of the Lexus 350, I recommend to a single or couple of sports enthusiasts. It is a dream to drive, and overall I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars, with its only star being left behind with its little room to move. Although I wouldn’t get this car for myself, I would definitely take it down the track at Eastern Creek to see the real power that the Lexus RC350 can chuck out!
